I’m interested in personal training but I’m not sure it’s for me - how do I know if I’ll like it?

We realise that it can seem a bit daunting at first if you’ve never done it before.  We carry out a consultation with every new client, which is completely free of charge.  It’s very informal and can take place at a convenient and suitable venue of your choice.  You’ll get a chance to chat about any concerns you have and may even get the opportunity for a free 30 minute trial!

What does a Personal Training session consist of?

You’ll be taken through a series of exercises and stretches that will have been selected and included in your programme for the best results towards your goal.  Your current fitness level and any preferences will also have been taken into account so every sessions is designed to be really enjoyable as well as safe and effective.

Will I always have the same trainer?

Yes.  We believe the trust and rapport established between trainer and client is vitally important and the same trainer throughout is essential.

I’m worried that I’m too old or unfit - how do I know if I’ll be suitable?

We have lots of experience dealing with a wide range of clients of all ages from various backgrounds, all with greatly differing fitness levels and goals.   We pride ourselves on our ability to treat everyone as unique and will be able to come up with a safe, effective and enjoyable program of exercise regardless of your age or fitness level.

I have an illness or I’m recovering from an injury - can you still train me?

We’ve worked with many clients with various injuries and conditions and have achieved excellent results from Personal Training and Sports Therapy, both individually and combined.  We would have to learn more about your specific condition or injury, and it may be necessary to get medical clearance, but in almost all cases we would still be able to train, treat and help you to improve.

I work long hours and have a family - how can I find time for exercise?

We recognise this as a common problem that comes with modern living and is one reason why we offer sessions as short as 30 minutes which can be taken at your home, place of work, local park or sports club.  Personal Training provides support to help you plan and manage your time effectively to help reach your goals, and Life Coaching will help you overcome any really difficult barriers.  Alternatively, On-line Personal Training is another option - you could receive nutritional advice and an exercise programme by e-mail, which you could follow as and when your time permits.

If we still haven’t answered your question, please contact us.  We’ll be more than happy to help.
